About this artwork
Swarup says he's often heard the phrase, "Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you." "Some say it's a Maori proverb; there's even a song by Rihanna that has similar lyrics," explains Swarup. He appreciated its meaning on a mid-summer morning in London, when the side street was playing with the sun and the shadows.
