About this artwork
Standing tall on the left bank of the Thames, the Palace of Westminster is one of London's most iconic landmarks. Westminster represents living history spanning more than 900 years, says artist Swarup Kumar Dandapat, but what makes it more special to me is the everyday London life that flows around it. In this painting, Swarup honors the Palace and Big Ben as well as the double decker red buses that symbolize a regular day in the city.
