About this artwork
The artist captured this view of Tetons in shades of blues, deep greens and peaches. For this painting the artist chose a birch board substrate. Joanie Ford explained, I prepared the surface with three layers of gesso, sanding between each layer. The smooth surface allows the brushwork to show. The panoramic format was chosen to emphasize the magnificence of the mountain range”.
