Artist Joanie Ford created this painting from her references of Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona. I included the springtime trees from my imagination to add variety to the scene, says Joanie. I toned the canvas with burnt sienna prior to painting and I allowed some of that warm color to show in the final view.
