This painting was inspired by Red Hook on a rainy day. The scene is from a window on the second floor looking down (actually from BWAC). I was interested in how the bright blue umbrella contrasted the muted grays. In the background, breaking up the distance is the Red Hook pier and Statue of Liberty.
