About this artwork

Late morning on Howard Street in the Soho neighborhood of New York. Artist Nick Savides says he found inspiration in the way the outdoors-themed window scenes contrasted with the urban surroundings, and the series of horizontal lines from the stairs, fire escape and shadows from the fire escape. Nick's attention to detail creates a rich snapshot of the many layers of daily life in the city.
