About this artwork

Along Hwy 58, New York near Adirondack State Park there is an old abandoned church. Boarded up and in disrepair, its simple gothic style reminded one of the classic American painting Arbor Day by Grant Wood. This painting is not what the church looks like today, but what I sense it may have been. Looking down from a vantage point, with its clear fall sky, sun drenched fields, and the Adirondacks off in the background, the church door to is open and welcoming.
