About this artwork

Depending on where you look, Chrysanthemums have a varied historical significance and symbolism, dating back to its initial cultivation in China as early as the 15th century BC. These dense, fluffy and vibrant red-violet Mums sit in an antique blue Mason jar, full of life. Oil painting on Arches oil primed paper. Nicole's paintings are created by direct observation-from drawing to painting. This pretty painting was created in 2019 and is unframed.
