About this artwork

Artist Nicole Lamothe says her focus in this soft, warm still life was the glowing sunlight streaming through her studio window. I arranged the pair of yellow roses to both capture the light and create a balanced composition with the flow of the shadows, says Nicole. The dark green leaves ground the scene and substantiate the space.
