About this artwork
After arranging the composition for this floral still life, artist Nicole Lamothe was immediately attracted to the soft warm light reflected on the right side of the pink blooms. The color of the flower petals shifted from a bright, cool pink on the left to a warm pink-orange. Set against a neutral blue-grey background, these Astras appear to glow, says Nicole.
