About this artwork
A solitary deep pink daisy in an antique cup paired with a dried flower seed pod found on the path of my afternoon walk, shares artist Nicole Lamothe. This delicate still life features a vivid pink hue that gently contrasts the pale green color of the wall to the dried flowers and muted mantel in the foreground. Light falls from the right corner of the composition casting shadows to the left. I created this painting by direct observation.
