About this artwork
One of Onelio's favorite John Sargent paintings is El Jaleo. While he visited Boston, he was able to see it in the Gardner Museum. The painting is displayed in setting that reflects the Moorish architecture and includes artifacts from Spain. Onelio placed three figures in front of the Sargent piece engaged in a close inspection of the painting. The three figures represent mentor art professors from Onelio's student days.
