About this artwork

During a trip to London, artist Onleio Marrero explored the city's wonderful sites. On one of his strolls along the Thames, he noticed the neo-gothic fountain dedicated to the 1834 emancipation of slaves. It was temporarily cordoned off, but I chose to paint it without the barriers, says Onelio. The Victoria Tower can be seen in the distance, shining in the warm sunshine.
