About this artwork

The Salmon River runs through a wilderness in the most remote area of the contiguous United States. A close-up perspective reveals moss growing on the rocks, adding a touch of vibrancy to the scene. Inspired by the canyon's beauty, artist Henry Caserotti created two paintings of the location. Although nearly abstract, they capture the distant and in-depth visual similarities and differences of the landscape. Each artwork stands alone but complements the other when shown together.
