About this artwork

I started a new Roman Piazzas series in 2019, says artist Maximilian Damico. Depicting one of the most famous and theatrical places in Rome, and perhaps around the world, Piazza Navona is viewed from the left bars' sidewalk opposite Borromini's Church. The scene shows a typical Italian style of life during a warm spring day. Made in my studio after several sketches in situ, on 300 gsm rough watercolor paper with deckled edges and a white border.
