About this artwork

After a terrible natural disaster, artist Jamal Sultan made ends meet by driving for a ride-sharing service. It was a pretty surreal experience, if not downright terrifying, relates Jamal. Not realizing how dangerous it would be when he started, he worked in bad neighborhoods with undrivable roads. In an alert state, Jamal starts to notice things. Taking inspiration from these instances, he took pictures, sketched, and only after some years, painted the experience.
