About this artwork

I travel often to Union City, NJ., the city where I was raised. I visit my mother who still lives there. The demographic is largely hispanic. I can sometimes feel at home on its streets and though I am Cuban I usually feel like a visitor. It's a very busy place with street parking and a lot of traffic. On this occasion, as I walked back to my car, the dusk settling in late winter gave a beautiful glow to the traffic lights and buildings. The painting is varnished and wired for hanging. The edges are a clean white gesso.
