About this artwork
Seated in the summer breeze, a woman delights in caressing her ginger cat with a bowl of freshly picked pears and cherries on her side. Her red hair sways with falling leaves, stirred by the gust of refreshing wind. The figure's warm tones beautifully contrast the blue sky and green hills in the background.
Artist Yelena Sidorova made the artwork by painting silk with acrylics and dyes, using black and gold resist to control the colors from spreading. She steamed the piece as a final step to protect and preserve its brightness.
