About this artwork

I like the overall look of my paintings to be quiet and still but with a lot of activity and movement in the layers and the surface of the colors themselves. I think this is a really good example of that kind of work. It relaxes me as I sit back and gaze at the woman sitting and gazing at art in a gallery but it has a wonderful and playful surface up close.
