About this artwork

They love each other certainly but I think there is also a bit of a tense rivalry as they await their individual fortunes. Their expressions and poses suggest to me GenX siblings in an old money family seated in front of a portrait of Mom and Dad. I think the color and pattern in this work are fun, but as I got into it I also started having fun with the people depicted.
