About this artwork

Within walking distance of my home is a massive old tree that overlooks a beautiful distant vista. It’s one of those trees that dwarfs you when you stand under it. I tried to communicate that scale through the use of space in the background of the painting. This piece was painted on 300lb Arches cotton rag watercolor paper.
