About this artwork

Using a wide variety of brushwork, artist Jill Poyerd set out to capture the beautiful, graceful lines of a set of aging poplar trees along a winter road. Using subtle warm and cool color tones, as well as a strong value contrast, helped me to communicate the drama and feeling in the scene, says Jill.
