About this artwork

My plein air artist friends and I return yearly to this spot to paint it while the almond blossoms are out in late winter here in the East Bay of California. The hills are foothills of Mt. Diablo. Often only the lowing of cows and the calls of birds can be heard. It is always a privilege to paint here. The painting extends to the edges of the paper.
