About this artwork

I visited the Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont, California in autumn, wanting to paint the reeds and waterways once again. It is a challenging subject as I am trying to convey the softness of the grasses without compromising their natural forms. This was painted at first on location, and then I worked on it at various times until I felt it says what I want it to say. The work is painted to the edges of the paper on heavy weight watercolor paper. It will require a frame for display.
