About this artwork

I was inspired to paint this joyful gathering of king penguins when I saw a photo of some that my niece had taken. I wanted to show them gathered, as they do, in an icy artic setting, and I had a lot of fun getting familiar with their poses, and the look of their natural habitats. The painting is on heavyweight watercolor paper, and will need a mat and frame for display.
