About this artwork

I have captured photographically friends, family and strangers covertly and staged to be used in painting. This piece was painted mostly with a palette knife. The dock appears to float off into a horizon; the figures are backlit with subtle light outlining. I worked to capture an other worldly light, Mary writes.
