About this artwork

This is a series I have been working on that attempts to convey a sense of motion through groups of characters as whole, moving forward in a river like fashion. The pieces are very painterly with thick brush strokes and vibrant colors. Nautical themes in my work are influenced predominantly by growing up in a small fishing culture on the ocean, as well as my passion for environmental and physical sciences.
