About this artwork
The weather was unpredictable when we took a day trip to Rome from Florence last year, and we didn't have an umbrella. So, we just ordered another espresso at an outdoor cafe in Piazza Navona and waited for the rain to stop. It passed pretty quickly. The dramatic weather created interesting reflections on the wet cobblestones and created a rainbow for us to see by the time we reached the Vatican. The edges are painted raw umber and the painting comes ready to hang.
