About this artwork

This piece is inspired from a Tybee Beach visit. The photo reference I took depicted figures with elongated shadows. The bathers' shadows seemed to elongate the figures. I capitalized on this feature. The canvas was underpainted with orange/red and followed with oil paint. A wee bit of orange peeks through at various places on the painting. The piece is wired to hang and varnished.
