About this artwork

This painting was inspired by a feelingÑa rekindling of the soul, says artist Pamela Blaies. Using color temperature, I wanted to create the impression of a visceral outward glow that inner passion can generate. The saturated flush on her cheeks makes you almost feel the warmth that suggests a slow thaw happening from deep within.
