About this artwork

You can drive about four hours north of San Francisco and see the Avenue of the Giants, the famous California Coastal Sequoias. They are well worth the visit as they lounge there in all their mysterious aloofness. I have a deep love for trees, being from New Zealand. In fact, where I grew up in a town called Rotorua, there was a stand of Redwoods planted about 150 years ago, and as a child I would gaze up at them in wonder and reverence for something so majestic. They resonate with me, so paint them I must! The painting is wired, ready to hang and the edges are painted.
