About this artwork

Three is a balanced number. I paint the birds on 3 canvas. The composition drifts from canvas to canvas and the birds are happy and painterly. I aff a textured paint layer and then cover with an umber wash. Oil paint is applied , but I leave some of the umber to create an organic feel. The piece sits well on a shelf or hangs on a wall.
