About this artwork
Ocracoke is a small island off the coast of North Carolina, says artist Jay Jensen. These islands are referred to as the Outer Banks. Ocracoke is special in that it is only reachable by ferry and is protected almost in its entirety by the National Parks Service. The beaches stretch out as far as the eye can see and are pristine. I worked to capture that feeling of infinite space.
