About this artwork
I came across some vintage yearbook photos and wanted to see if I could capture the essence in this painting. I used a very limited pallet here to try in order to push the color range to its maximum capability. I'm in love with the woman who ultimately emerged. She seems so sure of herself, yet with an uncertain look of vulnerability.
