About this artwork

I used a lot of artistic license in this painting in order to capture a very moody - almost exciting feeling. Always a lover of expansive landscapes, my eye was caught by a beautiful mauve tones in a late fall landscape. By adding a complex sky and accentuating the golden grasses, the painting took on a lot of emotion.
