About this artwork

Artist Lisa Elley presents an impressionist garden with extraordinarily rich flora. She paints the piece with a palette knife, greatly inspired by Monet's work. Lisa cites his home in Giverny, France as an artist's dream and a huge source of inspiration during his career. Lisa interprets his garden with flowering trees and blooming Jacarandas. She quotes the great Claude Monet as one of her main influences: I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers
