About this artwork

A traditional landscape with a contemporary edge. Layers of glazes are built up to create a glowing sky. The unfolding landscape moves through fields and trees which appear realistic but are really only suggested with loose brush strokes, giving a fresh, dynamic quality to a historic genre.
