About this artwork

In this intimate painting, artist Onelio Marrero has once again ventured into the private world of a young woman as she prepares for a date. She is frozen in a gesture of putting on earrings while contemplating the evening ahead. The interior setting features some beautiful cherry blossoms painted on the wall behind her dresser, says Onelio. The dresser, with its plethora of keepsakes, and jewelry was executed in a painterly impressionistic style of brushwork.
