About this artwork

Agata describes this atmospheric painting as the feeling of waking up early to the quiet delight of orange morning light and unexpected fog. She played with different surface textures, mixing sand into the paint in the bottom section, giving it a sheen compared to the matte surface across the rest of the piece. I wanted to give this painting a unique flair while still keeping it cohesive, says Agata. There is just enough shine at the bottom to give it a little boost in visual interest. The sides are painted a dark chocolate color.
