About this artwork

Agata vividly remembers a quiet walk she took alone along the coast. The beauty of that place, she recalls. A feeling that I will never forget. The fog and smoke rolled over the valley, rolled over the ocean, and rolled into my dreams and memory. This piece features a subtle application of gold pigment in the upper left corner, giving a slight sparkle. Sand was mixed into the paint in the dark areas to create a raised texture that nicely contrasts the smooth surface throughout the rest of the painting.
