This bold work contains layer after layer of thick paint, explains Gena. Lots of textures are revealed throughout this painting, as the history of scratching and wiping are very evident. A figure stands in shadow surrounded by expressive strokes of yellow and pink. Lively polygons dance in pattern along the lower section, repeating and unifying the pink and yellow tones. The work is titled to suggest being captivated or charmed, says Gena.
