About this artwork
This piece is made of hand cut and torn paper adhered to a cradled masonite panel with matte medium. It is the first collage in the 'Bots series. What started out as a fun experiment to experience making an image from small bits of paper became a strongly-propelled desire to make more, more and more. I wanted a subject that was simple, but quirky and soulful. A robot and his dog; perfect. This is what started me thinking about infusing emotions into machines created in our own image. The sides are finished with random imagery and the work comes ready to hang.
