About this artwork

This abstract painting is about sleeping and detoxing our tired souls. I use a traditional mosaic-making technique using canvas fabrics, yet the image is composed like digital pixels. It is part of a series inspired by digital images and the way they are composed of thousands of tiny pixels. My process is extremely meticulous yet spontaneous in its execution, allowing natural instinct to guide the creativity and momentum of the work. I cut many small pieces of canvas, paint them with acrylic paint, and adhere them to the canvas with tweezers and gel medium. This piece is on gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.
