About this artwork
Samuel, the artist, says It was a very hot day, but the slight elevation made it just bearable. All around there were beautiful rolling 'suede-like' hills as far as the eye can see, dotted with majestic gnarled oak trees. This is in Tehachapi, California, outside Bakersfield. Driving along highway 58, there are grasslands with oak trees. A photo snapped a out a car window was used for reference.
