About this artwork

Artist Craig Rouse imagines an architectural abstract landscape using a limited color palette. He depicts graphic geometric linework forming organized arrangements of structures. He draws influence from hard-edge paintings with abrupt transitions between the ranges of color. Part of his series based on photographs of built environments he has collected over the years. Craig reinterprets the images into playful compositions of light and shadow.
