About this artwork
I live on an old farmstead in the Midwest, where I paint scenes from my imagination for my quiet, country landscapes. These contemporary rural landscapes are painted simply, from the heart. With my art work, I want to capture the feeling of quiet peace and serenity, that I love about the country. This old house painting, was inspired from the old red brick farmhouses that I have seen over the years, on the rural back roads of America. I set this house along a quiet country lane with a heavy overcast sky around it. I love painting the Heartland of America and hope that you will enjoy viewing my original art work. The sides of the canvas are painted to match, and this piece comes wired and ready to hang!
