About this artwork

Artist Maurice Dionne paints an urban scene of people walking along the pavement. The piece captures the movement of the crowd of the downtown market loaded with packages. They may be tired, but there is this feeling of accomplishment as the people move towards transit - a day well spent, says Maurice. The subjects cast long shadows from the radiant summer sunlight.
