About this artwork

A couple of weeks ago I spent 5 days in Berea, KY teaching painting workshops. In the evenings, I roamed the area looking for plein air locations and photographing material for future paintings. This was one of those back roads and I plan to paint others. Moisture in the air provides an atmospheric quality that can be breathtakingly beautiful at times. I couldn't tell you where this location was (thank goodness for GPS getting me back) but the feelings expressed in this painting are genuine. There are numerous sites such as this in that area at the foothills of the Appalachian region. This painting is completed with professional grade watercolors on professional quality Arches 140lb paper and will require framing for display.
