About this artwork

The subject of this painting is a favorite of mine. I got lost on a back road and found this wonderful subject to paint. The winding road lead to a dead end that came to an abrupt halt after going over the railroad tracks. While getting turned around, I viewed this scene. I loved its simplicity along with the shadows that the evening light created. I stayed long enough to take a quick photograph and drove back over the tracks before a train came and blocked my way. But, the beauty of the scene stayed with me and I couldn't wait to create this painting. This painting is produced with the finest watercolor materials available and will require framing for display.
