Artist Judy Mackey created this expressive semi-abstract garden view while thinking about the new flowers springing up from the ground and the daylight-saving time change. She rendered the scene in joyous colors and brushwork. I like the playful colors of teal and orange and wanted this combination as the flowers, says Judy. I added white to keep the painting soft.
